Your church or ministry may want to partner with NJCM to train people. Partnering means working together to better equip Christians for making disciples.
This happens when churches/ministries invite NJCM to provide instruction to their people. The annual NJCM Christian Ministries Convention provides over 120 workshops for Christians. But partnering with NJCM goes beyond that. It’s when NJCM gets invited to sponsor an event specifically for your church or ministry. You can choose from our 90+ highly qualified and reliable instructors, depending upon availability. 50% of them are clergy or have PhD degrees. Most of the others head up a ministry.
Pastors and ministry leaders can select from a list of standard NJCM packages of instruction OR customize a package themselves from hundreds of available workshops. The workshops are in over 20 different major ministry areas (e.g. youth, children, evangelism, spiritual life of the teacher, finances, Bible and theology, etc.).
Here are some mutual responsibilities:
- Seminar subjects are selected by the host church
- Instructors from within the metro area are obtained by NJCM. Host church pastors participate in the process of selecting instructors.
- Advertising outside the local church is the responsibility of NJCM through its WEB site, electronic newsletter, newspapers, and radio. The host church will promote the event within their church and through personal contacts in the community.
- The Seminars are free but a love offering will be taken. This offering will go first to offset the instructor’s fee. Anything remaining above that will go to the church. If the love offering does not cover the instructor’s fee, NJCM and the host church will split the remaining cost. NJCM will make every effort to keep this fee affordable.
Seminar Times/Format
- These seminars are normally held on Saturday. The host church can, however, request another arrangement.
- The host church decides on the length of the seminars. NJCM’s normal REACH seminar is a half day from 9am – 1:30pm with a half-hour break at about 11:30 am.
- The host church will provide refreshments or light lunch during the seminar break (bagels, finger food, etc.)
- Child care is at the discretion of the host church – whether to provide it or not and also to provide any people required.
- The host church will decide on the date and NJCM will try its best to accommodate that date/time. If there’s any problem, NJCM will work with instructors and the host church to make arrangements satisfactory to both.
We call this our Christian REnewal And CHallenge (REACH) Center Concept. For more information or a catalog of workshops call (800) 363-4410. For a sample of workshops see the Convention workshops on the Schedule of Workshops page.
